I-5 ramps to be closed at Sutterville Road for street repairs on Saturday, May 10 and tentatively Sunday, May 11.

On Saturday, May 10, and tentatively Sunday, May 11, the City of Sacramento Department of Transportation will be closing north and southbound ramps of I-5 at Sutterville Road. The closure is necessary to grind and pave before the ramps are resurfaced later this year and prior to the CalTrans I-5 boat section project, which starts May 30. If work can be completed as planned on Saturday, the Sunday closure will not be necessary.

Advance warning signs and detours have been set up.

Zoo and Fairytale Town visitors note: Southbound drivers will be directed to the Fruitridge Road exit, Zoo and from there to take Riverside Boulevard back to Sutterville Road. Northbound drivers will be directed to the Broadway exit to Riverside Boulevard then back to Sutterville Road.

Working hours are from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
