The Great Miracle – Success in Israel
Published: May 8, 2008
The Palestinians were the ones who had their land taken away in 1948, so do not confuse “birth” with forcible take over. Again I fail to see how collective punishment and gross abuses of human rights equates to an achievement, it’s more like an epic catastrophe for the thousands of displaced Palestinians and the dead and their families on both sides of the conflict. Over 60% of Israelis want to hold peace talks with Hamas, yet the Zionist government refuses…one country can make a difference.
It's hard to achieve peace when, from the minute you are born, enemies are pledging to push you into the sea. I would say survival was a huge achievement. Peace would be nice, but it can't be done by one country alone.
I have no idea in what distorted reality decades of bloodshed could be equated to success in Israel, this article should be a slap in the face to anyone that believes in peace. Mrs. Russo, you say there is little the Israeli people can do about the situation, well then I’d say the Israelis do not deserve an inch of those 10,000 square miles. A $100 billion economy is not an achievement, peace is an achievement.
