Why leapfrog people who follow the rules with many who do not. I think illegals should have some ability to obtain legal status but to give them citizenship when legal immigrants fighting in Iraq need to wait the full 7 years is absurd.

Made in America versus Given Away in America. The difference is priceless. But hey, who can blame illegal immigrants for demanding free citizenship when politicians are willing to give it away? Everyone likes free stuff, and since the intellectual deficit of our politicians knows no limit, many of them are willing to give priceless citizenship away just for a vote.
