Sect of State Kevin Shelley should be counting the days until the "Beast" returns for session this December. Looks like the Republican Party is ready to roll with pressure to remove Shelley one way or another.
Legislative aides say lawmakers are discussing holding hearings to pressure the Secretary of State when the Legislature returns to Sacramento early next year.
California Republican Party spokeswoman Karen Hanretty said that if the expected hearings fail to pressure Shelley out of office, impeachment by a Democrat-controlled Legislature isn't even out of the question.
There is mention of a recall of Shelley in this article, but I hear the Republican Politicians want to mount an effort to force Kevin Shelley to resign.
This would create a
post election example out of Kevin Shelley and serve the state GOP officials mightily, reminding the voters why the Democrat Party is out of step with the common man/woman of this Golden State.
Plus...after the election, there will need to be a time of recovery for all of the political energy, money and time spent on the election. Summer is probably a very good time period for any consideration of recalling Kevin Shelley.
