Kerry’s Speaking Amnesty in Spanish
From Univision Channel 19 in Sacramento - Monday, October 25th...
(This was reported in Spanish and translated by one of my co-workers at 1380 KTKZ)

Female Reporter - President Bush proposes a program for Temporary workers who would have to return to their place of origin at three years. He has made it clear that he is opposed to an amnesty for undocumented workers.

Video Segment - (Bush) "That will allow a willing worker and a willing employer to come together, be it that there isn't an "American" willing to do this work, to have these two unite to be able to accomplish the need of the employer."

Female Reporter - For Bush the most important thing is security at the border and both candidates agree on the need to raise funds and the vigilance to avoid illegal immigration.

Female Reporter - Kerry on the other hand wants to grant amnesty to those already living in the US.

Video Segment - (Kerry) "We need a legalization program for those who have been here for a long time, haven't had problems, they have been employed, have paid their taxes and their children are US citizens we want to help them to become legal immigrants."

Female Reporter - Kerry also agrees that automatic citizenship be given to immigrants who serve in the Armed forces.
