(Let Tookie Live Update) Could Stanley “Tookie” Williams be innocent?

While most of the debate around Stanley Tookie Williams case is based on whether or not there is value in allowing commuting his death sentence to life in prison; issues and discrepancies surrounding his conviction have received few headlines.

The Contra Costa Times ran a piece over the weekend that discusses, in detail some very interesting concerns about the evidence used to convict Williams.

Poll shows support for Hillary is dropping like a rock… It’s about time!


It appears that attempts by Hillary Clinton to reinvent herself are not working out as planned. As she moves to the right by straddling the Iraq war fence and co-sponsoring legislation to make flag-burning a crime, voters on the left are hopping mad and voters on the right aren’t falling for it.

(Let Tookie Live Update) CA Supreme Court votes not to reopen Stanley William’s case.

Chief Justice Ronald George was in the minority of a 4-2 decision by the California Supreme Court not to reopen the case of Stanley “Tookie” Williams. It appears that the December 8th meeting between California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s administration and lawyers requesting clemency for Stanley now has even greater significance.

Public humiliation for mail thief. 9th Circuit gets it right for once!


A man who was convicted in 2003 of stealing mail was sentenced to, among other things, 100 hours of standing outside the post office wearing a sandwich board that says “I have stolen mail. This is my punishment.” And it doesn’t look like the Supreme Court will be overturning the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on this one.
