
For those who are either not believers or are not mature in their faith, the Christian concept of redemption or forgiveness can be difficult to fully understand. It is only natural to believe that there are some crimes that are beyond forgiveness. For those who don’t know the Word, the idea that murders, rapists and even child molesters could find their way into heaven is repugnant. And the thought that God could use anyone who is guilty of such evil… The idea that he could use a man like Stanley Williams, the founder of the Crips and a convicted murderer… well that is too much for some to handle.
But for those of us who are believers and are mature in the things of God, we know that this would not be the first time God has redeemed a murderer, a persecutor of the righteous and used him for his glory. If God could use the Apostle Paul, could he use Stanley "Tookie" Williams?
