Schwarzenegger on Hogue Show in Morning
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger Wednesday morning (October 27th) at 8:50AM on my show. We'll speak with the Governor before he leaves California for a trip to Ohio to campaign for President George W. Bush.

Possible questions for the Governor:

1. 'Why' do you want President Bush to win the election?
2. Will you be turning your attention toward defeating "Prop 66", since 68 and 70 are losing?
3. Why is the media shocked that you are active inside of the Republican Party, you are a Republican!
4. Top three items for the new session here in Sacramento first of the year?

I'll take suggestions in the comments section of this blog.

Schwarzenegger on "Hogue Show", 1380 KTKZ at 8:50AM...see you then!

Respect for the Republic
Others are thinking about 1960 as well...

From Jennifer Nelson, an Oakland writer who offers columns to the SF Chronicle...

That year (1960), John F. Kennedy beat Richard M. Nixon by 113,000 votes out of 68 million cast. The two deciding states were Texas, where Kennedy beat Nixon by 9,000 votes, and Illinois, where he won by 46,000 votes. Reports of election fraud surfaced in both states, but, despite urging by his staff and others, Nixon refused to call for a recount. In his 1962 memoir, "Six Crises," he wrote that he did not challenge the result, because he felt that the nation would be harmed by the notion that "the presidency itself could be stolen by thievery at the ballot box."

Drudge Siren Tonight
NBCNEWS: HUGE CACHE OF EXPLOSIVES VANISHED FROM SITE IN IRAQ -- AT LEAST 18 MONTHS AGO -- BEFORE TROOPS ARRIVED

The NYTIMES urgently reported on Monday how the Iraqi interim government has warned the United States and international nuclear inspectors that nearly 380 tons of powerful conventional explosives are now missing from one of Iraq's most sensitive former military installations.

Jumping on the TIMES exclusive, Dem presidential candidate John Kerry blasted the Bush administration for its failure to "guard those stockpiles."

"This is one of the great blunders of Iraq, one of the great blunders of this administration," Kerry said.

In an election week rush:

**ABCNEWS Mentioned The Iraq Explosives Depot At Least 4 Times
**CBSNEWS Mentioned The Iraq Explosives Depot At Least 7 Times
**MSNBC Mentioned The Iraq Explosives Depot At Least 37 Times
**CNN Mentioned The Iraq Explosives Depot At Least 50 Times

But tonight, NBCNEWS reported, once: The 380 tons of powerful conventional explosives were already missing back in April 10, 2003 -- when U.S. troops arrived at the installation south of Baghdad!

An NBCNEWS crew embedded with troops moved in to secure the Al-Qaqaa weapons facility on April 10, 2003, one day after the liberation of Iraq.

According to NBCNEWS, the HMX and RDX explosives were already missing when the American troops arrived.

It is not clear why the NYTIMES failed to report the cache had been missing for 18 months -- and was reportedly missing before troops even arrived.

"The U.S. Army was at the sight one day after the liberation and the weapons were already gone," a top Republican blasted from Washington late Monday.

The International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors last saw the explosives in January 2003 when they took an inventory and placed fresh seals on the bunkers.

Dem vp hopeful John Edwards blasted Bush for not securing the explosives: "It is reckless and irresponsible to fail to protect and safeguard one of the largest weapons sites in the country. And by either ignoring these mistakes or being clueless about them, George Bush has failed. He has failed as our commander in chief; he has failed as president."

A top Bush official e-mailed DRUDGE late Monday: "Let me get this straight, are Mr. Kerry and Mr. Edwards now saying we did not go into Iraq soon enough? We should have invaded and liberated Iraq sooner?"

Republic in Crisis
On a column dealing with the "Value of the Vote", look at the headline of the LA Times today; "Storm Clouds Gathering Over the Legitimacy of This Election".

This is exactly the battle plan for the Democrats - and has been since they discovered this 'de-valuing of the vote' in 2000. Create the doubt, organize the shadow groups to perpetrate the rules and laws, scream intimidation when someone represents the rules and then sue every close election.

Reminds you of a backyard 'pick-up' baseball game when you were young, those who could never win the game would always attempt to change the rules during the contest.

Look at this statement:

"How can we run a foreign policy … arguing that we are the shining example of what it means to be a democratic government when on the most basic element of democracy, the casting and counting of votes, we get it wrong twice in a row?" said Ivo Daalder, a foreign policy scholar at the Brookings Institution think tank in Washington.

Another message from the liberal left...we are no better than a Third World Nation ourselves. Who should we blame for this?

In 1960, it was a Nixon Campaign that decided not to contest a close (concerning) vote in Illinois. The reason was a respect for the Republic. The Nixon Team said they respected the Republic too much to take the vote through the courts and turn the nation on its ear.

Not now...since 2000, it has been about voter disenfranchisement, intimidation, fraud, no receipt touch screen voting and establishing a 'legal team' for election night.

I'll agree with one point in this column, if this election is close...our Republic is in crisis come November 2nd. Whatever happened to the Patriots who cared more about the Republic than about their own power grab? I guess that went out with the tossing of the medals.

Summer Recall of Kevin Shelley?
Sect of State Kevin Shelley should be counting the days until the "Beast" returns for session this December. Looks like the Republican Party is ready to roll with pressure to remove Shelley one way or another.

Legislative aides say lawmakers are discussing holding hearings to pressure the Secretary of State when the Legislature returns to Sacramento early next year.

California Republican Party spokeswoman Karen Hanretty said that if the expected hearings fail to pressure Shelley out of office, impeachment by a Democrat-controlled Legislature isn't even out of the question.

There is mention of a recall of Shelley in this article, but I hear the Republican Politicians want to mount an effort to force Kevin Shelley to resign.

This would create a post election example out of Kevin Shelley and serve the state GOP officials mightily, reminding the voters why the Democrat Party is out of step with the common man/woman of this Golden State.

Plus...after the election, there will need to be a time of recovery for all of the political energy, money and time spent on the election. Summer is probably a very good time period for any consideration of recalling Kevin Shelley.

LA Daily News is the LA Daily News article discussing the Shelley issue.
